Verlinden Modeling Magazine Vol.3 No.2


The construction of the building is cor-regated cardboard laminated with artists mattboard. Basswood beams inside and out. artists paste "stucco", and the stones being made with artists paste as well. The roof is Trophy Slate roof, and the large stained glass window was made from Techstar Large mesh, filled with Superscale Kristal Kleer, and then stained with glass stain from a craft shop. The doors are from a doll house shop, gutters are soda straws, and the water wheel is plastic sheet and strip. The coo coo clock from plastic stock and the parts box. and after searching for some time for a deer to use for the hunting trophy. I gave up and sculpted it from epoxy putty. The walls are VP wallpaper and Trophy Marble with basswood trim. The toilet sink and comode. as well as the table, chairs and piano are plastic kits from the doll house shop. The mandolin was made from plastic sheet, epoxy putty and fishing line. Posters on the walls are from VP German propaganda posters. The cobblestone courtyard was made from Trophy tiles, grouted and stained. The Barrels. Drums. Brazier, wine bottles and lamp post are new releases from VP. The skillet from the doll house shop and epoxy putty sausages. The sign is matt board and hand painted. The tree was made from a real tree limb with an epoxy base and roots, and the new VP Trees and Hedgerows material inserted in holes drilled into the wood and then sprayed with multiple colors of green. The bush is the same material. The shutters are sheet and strip plastic with VP Iron works and the iron fence is a doll house item.
